Photo of still working industry in West Mifflin, PA. Beyond the string of railroad cars is the USX Irvin Works. The roof and water tower in the foreground belong to a General Motors plant. It was a Fisher Auto Body plant stamping out new doors, hoods, maybe even unibodies, etc. for a long time. I am not sure it carries the Fisher name anymore, and I do not think it makes part for new cars anymore. It may be making mainly replacement parts. Monogahela River is down hill to left. Railroad is Union, established by U.S. Steel in heyday. Friday January 2, 1998.
