The "scenic" railroad apparently installed the turntable for the purpose of turnaround at the end of their line. The original main continued through to the left into a tunnel underneath Frostburg. The tunnel entrance is still there, but out of this view to the left. There is a nice set of steps to climb up the hillside into Frostburg, that provides great viewing of the turntable action.
